Fantastic Four : NBA Finals Countdown

JUST four more wins - that's all we need for another Australian to become an NBA Champion, following in the footsteps of Loc Longley, Andrew Gaze, Patty Mills and Aron Baynes.

Andrew Bogut's Golden State Warriors are leading Houston Rockets 2-0 in their Western Conference Final and Matthew Dellavedova's Cleveland Cavaliers went 2-0 ahead of Atlanta Hawks when they won 94-82 today.

Both Aussies need just two wins apiece for the Final to be GSW v the Cavs, and with one "Down Under" presence in each team, guarantee us of another Champion.

Delly started today in the absence of injured Kyrie Irving, and while his shooting was off early, finished with 11 points, six rebounds and four assists, while playing his usual stellar defensive role.

LeBron James, with 30 points, nine rebounds and 11 assists, had the Hawks' defence mesmerised, the Cavaliers' 30-17 third period setting up a win more comfortable than the final scoreline may suggest.

The fact the Cavs have won two games on Atlanta's court and go home now to Cleveland for the next two is huge. But I've had my doubts about the Hawks since they ran for cover late in Game 1 when James came down the lane with an emphatic and game-clinching slam dunk.

Houston has been more impressive in its two road losses at Golden State and Game 3 at home for the Rockets promises to be telling in how that series will play out.

Today, the Hawks were outplayed by the best player in the game but also by a team playing with desire and intensity, focusing on defence. It looks a long road back.

"I love the defensive side (of the game) and you have a guy like Dellavedova, who takes the challenge, and Double T protecting the rim ... everyone takes it seriously," James said.
