NBL TotW19: Fab Four make beautiful music
WITH only six games in NBL Round 19, teams that split two appearances such as Illawarra and New Zealand, quickly dropped from the equation, leaving our Team of the Week to come from Brisbane, Tasmania, Perth or Melbourne.
Brad&Boti: LJ calls it a day, WNBL back, NBL hot

BRAD Rosen and I had a bucketload of basketball to unpack in this week's Brad&Boti podcast, what with the Opals qualifying for the Paris Olympics, Lauren Jackson retiring from international play, the WNBL back in business and the NBL drawing to a thrilling conclusion.
WNBL Team of the Wk 13: Unlucky 13? No, focused 10
WE'RE departing from our customary and extremely popular WNBL Team of the Week format this round to branch out into new areas - international areas frankly. Because while they haven't had the opportunity to capture the mainstream public's imagination in the way the Matildas did, our Opals have certainly been the focus of women's basketball fans nationwide this week.
Who has a case to answer? NBL
HERE it all is, wrapped up in one nice big bundle - all our NBL match summaries from Round 19. If you missed any of them, well they're all here in one place now. And perhaps it is time to pose the question, why do referees have such short fuses with polite gentlemen such as Mike Kelly?
Opals polish off Serbia for 3-0 sweep
AT 2-0 and qualified for the Paris Olympics, Australia appeared to put the cue in the rack ahead of its win over Serbia, Lauren Jackson and Tess Madgen rested and Alanna Smith also sidelined. But the Opals' "Fearless Freshmen" stepped up again to beat the Serbs, the refs and the crowd 75-73 in Belem today.
Breakers in chase, Hawks secure: NBL
NEW Zealand remains in control of its own finals destiny despite being devastated by foul woes in its loss to Melbourne, Will McDowell-White the hardest hit, though the NBL coaching future of Sydney's Mahmoud Abdelfattah took a bigger welt as Illawarra again dethroned the Kings, leaving the defending champs' fate at the mercy of others.
Opals blitzkrieg rocks Germany and liberates Paris
THEY did it. They're through. Our Opals today launched a blitzkrieg from which Germany never recovered as the Australian women's team qualified for Paris, marching into their 8th straight Olympic Games and 10th in 40 years since debuting at Los Angeles 1984, Isobel Borlase headlining the "new kids".
Bryce is Right, Jackies bite: NBL
BRYCE Cotton put on a show in Perth as the Wildcats ultimately comfortably eliminated Cairns from the post-season and Tasmania flexed its muscles in front of a 10,000-plus crowd at John Cain Arena, formally consigning South East Melbourne to the club's historic first last-placed finish in its NBL life.
PJC and WMW combine to flush Hawks: NBL
PARKER Jackson-Cartwright last night staked his case as the NBL's premier "Little Big Man", leading New Zealand to a huge home win over Illawarra, making tomorrow's Hawks' trip to Sydney massive and the Breakers' visit to Melbourne also critical. In Brisbane, the Bullets ended Adelaide's play-in bid.
Ezi at both ends haunts Brazilian dreams
MAGNIFICENT Ezi Magbegor today saved Australia from an ignominious defeat in its Paris Olympic Qualifying match against host nation Brazil in Belem, underpinning a 60-55 escape with several key late-game blocks to accompany game highs in points (18) and rebounds (7).
