IT IS a total fallacy to call any result from the first round of a new season as "an upset". After all, which teams are established and which teams aren't? Frankly, it's ridiculous. But wow, what an upset Perth caused over Sydney and Melbourne over Southside to open the WNBL season.
Jackies jump gun, Cotton pickin' on 36ers
THE Tasmania JackJumpers jumped the gun and reloaded their road loss to the Bullets with a key home win before Bryce Cotton remembered who he is and dragged Perth to a home win over Adelaide in which you might have sworn both coaches were trying to lose.
