Are Breakers going Jackson Five?
TweetARE the reigning NBL champion New Zealand Breakers about to add one “C.Jackson” to their title-defending roster?
Well no, actually, the question should be will it be TWO “C.Jacksons”?
Import playmaker Cedric Jackson has been a championship mainstay for the Breakers but lately the name Charles Jackson also has been doing the rounds as New Zealand’s potential second import signing.
Charles is a 208cm junior centre from Tennessee Tech who declared for the 2015 NBA draft and unfortunately was overlooked.
Unfortunately for Charles, but maybe not for Breakers fans.

Since championship-winning shot-maker Ekene Ibekwe went the free agent route – don’t worry, you’ll be seeing the wiry athlete at Melbourne United in 2015-16 – the Breakers have been looking out for a new big man to partner Mika Vukona and Alex Pledger.
In 30 games at Tennessee Tech in 2014-15, Jackson, 22, ranked eighth in the NCAA in double-doubles with 18.
He was awarded the Ohio Valley Conference newcomer of the year, averaging 13 points, 9.4 rebounds and 1.3 blocks while shooting 57 percent from the floor.
He would be quite the find for the Breakers.
But would his uniform name read Jackson, C.Jackson or Ch.Jackson?
THE NBL re-launched itself today with a new logo (variations below) and a vastly improved website.

Some will love it, some will hate it but again, it is evidence the league IS doing things and continuing to move forward.
That, you have to love.
