Brad&Boti: Courting Courtney and the NBL crown
TweetYES it's April Fools Day and who better to guide you through just such an event than Brad Rosen and I at our Brad&Boti podcast, featuring all you need to know about the NBL Championship and a super interview with WNBL champion and Rachael Sporn Medallist Courtney Woods.
The NBL is at the business end now with Game 4 in the best-of-five Grand Finals tonight in Adelaide and Brad and I jump right into it.
But first, we have the absolute pleasure of revisiting the burgeoning WNBL and international career of Courtney Woods, with the superstar herself.
For those with short memories, Courtney was the stand-out as Townsville Fire swept the best-of-three WNBL championship over Perth Lynx, with a career-high 28 points in Game 2, one of the greatest ball games in league history.
That 108-105 overtime win in Perth was a classic success for Townsville after Woods had also led the Game 1 scoring with 22 points.
Her composure and poise under pressure were outstanding features of the series and on the pod we not only revisit those classic moments, but also work our way through Courtney's career.
We even ask her for an NBL Championship prediction before we turn to all that has gone down since that monster record-setting Game 1 rout by the Kings over Adelaide in Sydney to open the championship series.
And there's plenty to discuss, though when we get to Brad's Rosen Rattler and my Nagy Nasty, you may find we are very much on opposite sides of the scale.
It's not based on any club bias either, quite the contrary!
We've packed plenty into this week's episode and you can hear it now by clicking onto this LINK, or by going to your usual podcast sources.
