Brad&Boti: At last! We can say We told You!

PODCAST partner Brad Rosen and I were feeling pretty chuffed this week, having long ago locked away the correct WNBL and NBL playoff teams and also selected Isobel Borlase to waltz home with the women's MVP. But that's just the tip of the iceberg of this week's Brad&Boti podcast.

The WNBL regular season concluded much as expected and earlier this week, the league had its awards presentations and, frankly, for the first time in living memory, its winners were very much beyond criticism.

Yep, the WNBL had it right, from Borlase, the 21-year-old Olympic prodigy collecting the MVP, to her coach at Bendigo, Kennedy Kereama claiming Coach of the Year honours after steering the Spirit back to the finals despite considerable adversity.

Breakout player Dallas Loughridge, Best Defensive Han Xu, the two All-WNBL teams ... the league did not put a foot wrong.

And now come the playoffs, both Brad and I in agreement about which of the top four is the "team to beat" for the 2026 championship.

We discuss that and much more, including our favourite moments from the final round of the regular season and our "Player(s) of the Week", unusually both from the same game!

Switching our attention to the NBL, naturally the expletive-laden outburst from Kings coach Brian Goorjian toward South East Melbourne guard Owen Foxwell, on top of the Andrew Bogut tweet regarding Adelaide's internal crisis caught our eyes (and ears). Of course we approach the incidents from differing angles before talking through them at length.

One of us - you can guess which one - believes Sydney is now an almost unbackable favourite to win the championship, an opinion worthy of considerable debate.

Who were our selections as Player(s) of the Round and what stood out as the main big plays?

Oh and let's not forget, there's a Nagy Nasty and a Rosen Rattler ... when we're not arguing about when Goorjian actually formally adopted Brad.

All this and more awaits just by clicking onto this LINK or you can go to your usual podcast destinations and find us there.
