Brad&Boti: We confirm the 10 finals teams
TweetCOLLEAGUE Brad Rosen and I have pulled up stumps at our Brad&Boti podcast and declared the WNBL Final Four and the NBL Top Six are now done and dusted, with no further correspondence to be entered into. As they are now folks, so shall they be when the playoffs begin, the order yet to be finalised.
It's kind of a shame with so much of the regular season left, including this week's Hoops Fest in Perth where all the teams will gather for a celebration of topline basketball.
But as far as Brad and I can foresee, Bendigo, Townsville, Perth and Southside Melbourne - not necessarily in that order, mind you - will be contesting the WNBL's post-season.
And breakaway likely regular season champion Adelaide, South East Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and Tasmania will be leading the post-season quest for the Dr John Raschke Championship Trophy.
Sorry to everyone else but time to plan your post-season holidays, although your life as spoilers is far from over.
As the teams descend on Perth, Brad and I review the WNBL's last round, selecting our respective Player(s) of the Week, then take our educated guesses at which teams will prevail in Round 14.
That's before we turn our attention to the NBL which is coming off arguably its best regular season round of the season. One-point results, overtime, timely road wins by Perth, New Zealand and Tasmania, and some huge performances by teams missing key pieces.
Who were our Players of the Round, what were the round's biggest plays and who will be winning this weekend at RAC Arena?
It's all here, along with a ripper Rosen Rattler and a Nagy Nasty where I offer an alternative annual plan to Hoops Fest. Yes, it's all available right now at the click of this LINK, or go to your usual podcast destinations.
