Brad&Boti: Izzy dizzy and key King stings

BENDIGO Spirit guard Isobel Borlase is coming off a three-game WNBL stint in which she has wracked up 98 points while Kings guard Kendric Davis has gone off for 40 in an NBL round that Brad&Boti podcast colleague Brad Rosen and I could hardly wait to sink our teeth into.

The jockeying for semi final homecourt advantage in the WNBL is at full throttle as defending champion Bendigo, multi-talented Townsville and perennial powerhouse Perth battle out the regular season's final rounds.

Despite the return of Olympian Jade Melbourne and improved performances, Canberra still looks unlikely to unseat Southside Flyers from the Final Four, though neither team looks to have the goods to progress to the championship series regardless.

Southside's bona fides will be inspected by Perth this round, before the Lynx tackle the Spirit in Bendigo in another big indicator as to which team will enjoy homecourt in the playoffs.

Canberra and Southside also square off in the capital this round, both teams on an 8-12 win-loss mark and separated by percentage.

That could be even more substantial after the Flyers host Perth and Canberra faces the Fire in Townsville earlier in the round.

Brad and I differ on our Players of the Week and also the best moment, but completely agree we are seeing quality basketball as we head down the home stretch.

We're still in agreement on our Top Six finish for the NBL, with Adelaide, South East Melbourne, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Tasmania our "locks" for the post-season.

But the 10-16 defending champion Hawks are hot on the tail of the 12-16 JackJumpers who have been decimated by injury.

Can they do it?

Hear our thoughts as we also discuss our Play(s) of the Round and Player of the Week which, I suspect, I gave away in the lead paragraph today!

Brad has a Rosen Rattler and me a Nagy Nasty query for the other dinosaurs still watching our sport.
