Brad&Boti: Flyers flying but Jackies jangling

PODCAST host and colleague Brad Rosen has jumped off the JackJumpers to finish in the NBL's Top Six and we also now see the Flyers in the WNBL Final Four following key Canberra injuries. We unravel all this and much more in this week's New Year's Brad&Boti podcast.

There have been games galore and Brad and I have actively been following the developments, both of us impressed at how defending WNBL champion Bendigo is continuing to shine despite losing Marianna Tolo and Casey Samuels for the season.

The Spirit has now signed Emma Clarke as a replacement for Samuels and are coming off a terrific road win in Townsville which has kept them at the pinnacle of the league.

We talk about the development of young centre Kelsey Rees and why Bendigo continues to inspire.

Who were our respective "Player(s) of the Round", Brad settling on a star with the Lynx, me with a creator for the Spirit.

Have injuries now cruelled Canberra's campaign and opened the door for Southside Flyers to feature in the post-season?

Plus there's our weekly tips before we turn our attention to the NBL and the question-mark over which Tasmania line-up will show up for the Jackies' next match against United.

The one that beats teams such as Melbourne United, South East Melbourne Phoenix and Sydney Kings? Or the one which loses to New Zealand and Illawarra?

Brad has altered his Top Six prediction for the first time this year, but then, we're only three days in. Who takes sixth - Tassie, NZ or the Hawks?

What's the story behind "managed minutes" and is that just BS to keep medical staff happy? Here's how to also end the infernal and seemingly eternal finger twirling nonsense of players wanting coach's challenges.

We have all this, plus match results and tips in our first foray into 2026 and you can hear it all now by simply clicking on this link.

The alternative of course is to go to your usual podcast destinations or, as we have found is highly recommended by our family, friends and associates, ignore us altogether!
