Brad&Boti: Han Xu elevates WNBL a notch

HAN Xu in one game already has changed the face of the Perth Lynx and, more importantly, the world view of our WNBL. Brad Rosen and I are back behind the microphones and this week's Brad&Boti podcast has it all, from the Boomers-Tall Blacks to the NBL and much more.

But we start - as always, ladies first - with Han Xu's arrival and the announcement the new WNBL team from Tasmania next season will be called the Jewels.

We even have a bold prediction for which star player will be the first signing of the Tasmania Jewels.

That, of course, is still to come. What has occurred during our FIBA break is the dismissal of Adelaide Lightning coach Kerryn Mitchell and the departure of Sydney Flames' championship-winning coach Guy Molloy in relatively quick succession.

Both clubs have stayed tight-lipped about what has occurred, Aja Parham-Ammar now calling the shots in Adelaide and Renae Garlepp promoted to ignite the Flames.

We talk about our Player(s) of the Round before turning our attention to who is winning the matches in the forthcoming round.

We lapse momentarily into NBA - yes, NBA - to talk about the biggest single play of the past week. Don't miss that because both of us are in full agreement!

NBL then, and has Illawarra slipped too far off the pace now, compounded by the season-ending injury to back-up big Jonah Bolden?

Which is the team no-one will want to face in the first round of the playoffs?

Tai Webster returns to the NBL at home in New Zealand with the Breakers, which takes us to the Australia-NZ FIBA World Cup qualifier games and Will "Davo" Hickey's 3-point heroics.

Yes, we're covering everything!

And that includes our Plays of the Week, Players of the Week, a Nagy Nasty, a Rosen Rattler and our tips for the NBL round.
