Brad&Boti: Burger Boss launches the round

BRAD Rosen has spent a day in Adelaide-town and finally sampled the wears of one of our past sponsors, Burger Boss, and you can tell he was stoked. He enjoyed it so much, we led this week's Brad&Boti podcast with it before turning to the major events of WNBL Round3 and NBL Round 7.

And weren't there some results to make your head spin? Anyone suspecting Townsville Fire had the makings of a near-unbeatable WNBL side had a major shock when Southside Melbourne said: "No, wait, we have other ideas."

Then whoa, what about Adelaide? The Lightning were well-and-truly humbled by Geelong and needed a big response while Canberra, which already owns Southside's scalp, had to bounce back from the whack they copped from the Fire.

Who was winning this one in Adelaide? Well both Brad and I had Canberra pegged but from start-to-finish the Lightning looked the better team and that's ultimately how it turned out.

Then we had the classic in Geelong where Perth nipped across the line for a one-point victory in an absolute thriller.

Lauren Nicholson is carrying Sydney on her shoulders but cannot do much more, the Flames needing more contributors and falling in Bendigo to the reigning champs.

Brad's best moment of the round and player of the round may surprise some but mine are less likely to and may be a little more onvious.

However Brad does send strong a message to the Opals selectors before we throw down on which teams will win in WNBL Round 4.

Then we turn our attention to the NBL and what the hell was going on in Wollongong where New Zealand doled out a 42-point devastation of the defending champion Hawks, their worst home loss in franchise history, including the 48-minute era!

Even Brad, who called the game for ESPN, was emotionally drained driving back to Sydney but impressed by Sam Mennenga of the Breakers.

And then those same Hawkies turn around and play one of their best games of the season before losing by two to the 36ers in Adelaide! Good lord.

What can we make of Brisbane? And ask Davo Hickey or Jesse Edwards how important it is to make your free throws, especially late.

Are Xavier Cooks and Bul Kuol truly the key players for the Kings if they are to enjoy any post-season success?

We discuss all this and more as Brad vigorously shakes his Rosen Rattler and I drop my Nagy Nasty and you can access it all now simply by clicking onto this link, or going to your usual podcast destinations, especially if you're keen to hear our NBL tips.

And, oh yeah, we really did love Burger Boss.
