Brad&Boti: Stunning shots and super plots

WOW! There were certainly a few memorable shots knocked down this week in the WNBL and NBL, starting with Nyadiew Puoch, then Jaz Shelley, and continuing on to Makuach Maluach. Don't worry though! Brad Rosen and I caught it all at this week's Brad&Boti podcast.

Puoch's long-range triple heave broke open Canberra's clash with Perth, sailing through for a stunning 77-74 upset by the Capitals at the buzzer.

That was one of three huge WNBL upsets as league pacemakers Bendigo, Townsville and Perth all suffered unexpected setbacks.

In Townsville, Shelley's Venom had just conceded two free throws 2.6 seconds out from halftime but, no worries, she received the inbounds pass and quickly let fly with a miracle shot from the Fire side of centre for nothing-but-net and a whopping 56-36 interval buffer for Geelong.

Bendigo, which has been keeping it together despite the season ending early for championship stars Marianna Tolo and Casey Samuels, finally crashed on the road, beaten by the Flames in Sydney.

What made that even better for Sydney was it played the second half without Lauren Nicholson, who scored 19 in the first half!

Brad and I look into our crystal balls for this round's WNBL winners, while also naming our Player(s) and Plays of the Round, and we select our Final Four now Sara Blicavs has been released by Canberra to play in China.

Then it's on to the NBL and a round started by South East Melbourne scoring 111 against Cairns and concluding with those same Phoenix rattling off 124 points against Sydney.

The Kings mustered 117 in response in the season's highest-scoring game and it was an absolute cracker, Maluach with two memorable slam dunks for Sydney.

It was a cracker too with Tasmania's win over a struggling Melbourne United in a game vastly different to the Phoenix-Kings shotfest. And how good was Will Magnay?

Brad and I have finally reached consensus on our Top Six, predictions influenced by the long-term losses to injury of Sydney's Bul Kuol and Perth's David Duke.

We've got our Plays and Player(s) of the Round too, with a Rosen Rattler and a Nagy Nasty to set it all off for you.
