FINALLY, Indiana's greatest basketball player, Boston Celtics and USA Dream Team NBA legend Larry Bird has spoken out about the treatment of the WNBA's burgeoning superstar Caitlin Clark. Larry is not known for being outspoken but this giant of the sport has seen enough. Or so it was alleged.
Those of us here across the Pacific who have wondered how her ill treatment has been allowed to go unchecked by the WNBA itself were thrilled Larry said his piece.
Sadly, apparently he didn't. While the following viral quotes about Clark were attributed to Bird, the truth is that the NBA Hall-of-Famer hasn't said much about the WNBA point guard.
Which is a shame, because the story sure reads like something we'd love to be true. But it isn't.
