B.O.T.I. Player of the Wk (WNBL) 4

IT'S a shame the Melbourne-Townsville WNBL "Cup Eve" showdown missed the cut for this week's Biggest Winners/Losers sections as the Boomers might have pipped Adelaide Lightning.

Beating the Caps in Canberra, then putting out the Fire definitely has fired up Melbourne's playoff chances.

There were some excellent individual performances, as always, with Rachel Jarry terrific in SEQ's gripping overtime win over Sydney and Leilani Mitchell sensational as Adelaide upset Bendigo.

But the B.O.T.I. Player of the week award goes to Suzy Batkovic for the second time after two super performances for Townsville.

Batkovic had a 26-point, 11-rebound double-double as the Fire beat Dandenong, then backed that up with a fighting 32-point, 12-rebound double-double against the Boomers.

In the Fire's two-game trip, The Batgirl averaged 29 ppg at 50 per cent and 11.5 rebounds giving her the chocolates for the second time this season.
