Basketball On The Internet.

*FLASHBACKS, my irregular "lucky dip" where I just reach into my drawers of old Australian basketball stuff and transcribe or post whatever I find for you.*

THERE's increasing talk the NBL is looking at Canberra and/or the Gold Coast as possible expansion destinations which is timely because I've come across a particularly interesting edition of The Cannon.

For those outside the capital, The Cannon blasted into existence during the halcyon days of the Canberra Cannons and this random edition from the visit by St Kilda to Canberra is from April 13, 1985 - 41 years ago.

Have a look at the advertising and how far ahead Canberra was in terms of looking after and informing its fans, young and old. There's so many ads in this magazine, printed on quality paper, I dropped two pages of them out!

Some fine pictures too. Ahead of their time much?

A couple of guys named Bob Turner and Terry Ryan had a lot to do with this. Hats off to them.
