NBA West - Coming back to the Oracle

GOLDEN State today guaranteed their best-of-seven NBA Western Conference semi final series with San Antonio would return to frenzied Oracle Arena when they levelled it at 2-2 in a come-from-behind overtime win.

The 97-87 victory partially made up for the Warriors' 92-102 Game 3 loss at home on Saturday which had allowed the Spurs to regain homecourt advantage.

Game 5 is on Wednesday (Australian time) in San Antonio where the Warriors lost in double-overtime in Game 1 but took Game 2.

But today, GSW's Aussie centre Andrew Bogut was not reffed out of the match as he had been on Saturday, and dominated the boards with a game-high 18 rebounds.

The Warriors still trailed by as many as eight points in the fourth quarter but outscored the Spurs 13-3 in overtime, scoring the first nine points of the extension.

San Antonio missed its first eight attempts in overtime and shot at 35.5 per cent.

Klay Thompson's runner over Tim Duncan locked the score at 84-84 to force the five-minute extension.

Warriors sharpshooter Stephen Curry, who injured his ankle in the Game 3 home loss, was still hindered today but Harrison Barnes piped up with 26 points and 10 rebounds.

Jarrett Jack scored 24 and Curry still added 22, Golden State controlling the boards 65-51.

That largely was due to the keyway presence of The Bogeyman, the rebounding dominance compensating for another 18 turnovers.

Manu Ginobili led the Spurs with 21 points but unlike his match-winner in Game 1, this time missed a three-point attempt with 20 seconds left in regulation.

The series winner continues to the Western Conference final to face either Memphis Grizzlies or Oklahoma City Thunder.

Memphis took a 2-1 lead in that series on Sunday with an 87-81 home win which sets them up to take control of it with Game 4 also in Memphis.

Bogut, who threw down two huge dunks in Game 3 - one early which annoyed Duncan sufficiently to have him react and cop a tech - was screwed with some dreadful foul calls which set up that loss.

But unhampered today, he was back to his rebounding best as his team also rebounded to make this the most interesting playoff series.
