TIM Duncan again proved the Master of the Overtime as San Antonio virtually ended its Western Conference Final with Memphis, winning 104-93.

It wasn't just that the Spurs won in the Grizzlies' stadium to take a stranglehold 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.

It was the way they came back from a 4-15 start which looked even worse at 11-29.

But when the game was there to be won, the old firm of Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili stepped up to show their big-game nous.

The pick-and-roll's execution led to Memphis' execution, the best the Grizzlies can now hope for is to extend this series to five games.

For all intents and purposes, it is over.

Remember, San Antonio didn't even lead this game until the opening minute of the fourth quarter, yet it can now wrap this thing up on Tuesday and book its place in the NBA Final for the first time since 2007.

The Spurs hit 8-of-10 shots in overtime, with Duncan scoring seven of his 24 points. Parker had five of his 26 in overtime and even Tiago Splitter scored six in the five-minute extension.

Mike Conley led Memphis with 20 points, Marc Gasol had a 16-point, 14-rebound double, Zach Randolph with 14 and 15 and Quincy Pondexter with 15 points.

The Grizzlies last led 85-84 with 1:04 left in regulation on a Gasol jumper, overtime required with scores tied 86-86.

Conley had a chance to win it in regulatiion but when his drive came up empty, the air was out of Memphis' sails.

The extra five minutes may as well have been a different game, the Spurs dominating from the outset.

"This one was a tough one to swallow but it's a good learning lesson and there's no group of guys I'd rather be with down 3-0 to try to fight back in it," Conley said.

Yeah. Right.
