NBL casts away old balls
TweetTHE NBL has embraced its inner castaway by switching to Wilson balls.
The league’s official new game ball is a Wilson designed Solution Game Ball. The Solution Ball currently is the official ball of the NCAA Championship and its annual “March Madness”.
The three-year partnership coincidentally runs the length of the initial tenure of the NBL’s Executive Director Larry Kestelman, suggesting further confidence in the league while he is at its helm.
No huge surprise there.

“I am excited to announce this partnership between the NBL and Wilson,” league CEO Jeremy Loeliger said in a statement today.
“Today’s announcement is a key milestone in the journey of the new-look NBL as we get closer to season tip-off in October.
“Teaming up with Wilson provides us with the opportunity to build a partnership with an iconic worldwide brand that shares our vision for the future of the NBL.”
Few – and certainly not Tom Hanks – would dispute Wilson makes a great ball. (OK, except maybe Mr Molten and Mr Spalding.)
Its association with the NBL assuredly is a positive sign.
