Oh The Blitz, Oh The Blitz, Oh The Blitz is back
TweetTHE Blitz is back. New NBL executive director Larry Kestelman confirmed today the league would tip-off with its annual preseason tournament for the Loggins-Bruton Cup.
As for the venue? That's still up for grabs.
"We'll put it out to the clubs to see who wants to host it," Kestelman said.
"As long as it's run professionally, we'll see who wants to do it."
The Blitz has been staged in sites as diverse as Cairns, Coffs Harbour, Dandenong, Sydney and Brisbane, the format of the past two years meeting with universal approval.

The Blitz Prize: Currently in Townsville
(Draped with the Ray Borner MVP Medal)
You know, a point for every quarter won, three for the win etcetera.
It also is the unique opportunity to have all eight NBL clubs under one roof.
Kestelman said it was "too early" to make any revelations regarding television coverage of the NBL in 2015-16 and/or beyond.
"I think having all games shown live on free-to-air TV is a mission impossible," he said.
"It's early days yet but some sort of free-to-air arrangement with a Fox deal seems to be a popular concept.
"We're talking to a lot of people."
Kestelman did not rule out the NBL producing its own television product.
PLAYER MOVEMENTS:
EXPECT Sydney Kings to soon formally announce the return of exciting 209cm centre Julian Khazzouh.
Khazzouh (Gesundheit!) starred for the Kings in 2011, finishing runner-up to Wollongong Hawks import Gary Ervin for league MVP honours - ah, Steve "Gaffe" Carfino, how we don't miss you - and even earnt a shot at training camp with Golden State Warriors.
Starting his NBL career at the Kings' former crosstown rival West Sydney Razorbacks, Khazzouh, 29, also played in the Netherlands and Israel before joining Sydney.
He since has been playing for Sagesse in Lebanon.
But while the Kings can rejoice with the imminent return of a prodigal son, an equally talented Sydney prodigal son in A.J. Ogilvy is bound for arch rival Melbourne United.
Ogilvy, 26 and 211cm, averaged 13.1 points, 1.9 assists and a league-leading 8.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game for Sydney in the 2013-14 NBL season before heading to Spain's La Bruixa d'Or Manresa last season.
Having secured Townsville's star young swingman Todd Blanchfield, United also is looking at the Crocodiles' league MVP Brian Conklin, though he also has a shot at Europe in his sights.
