IF you have been wondering where the FIBA investigation into Australia's alleged tanking against Angola at the World Cup currently sits, well so has the rest of the world.

My (e)mail is FIBA is still close to a fortnight away from reaching and revealing a decision into its nonsensical investigation.

I call it nonsensical now because what if, bowing to the pressure from its European overlords,  FIBA suddenly decides to find the Boomers guilty and then throws sanctions on Basketball Australia at, say, around about the time the Opals have a big game at the World Championship in Turkey?

That would be ridiculous, just as this investigation is.

In fact, this whole episode has given me the (rhythm and) blues...

He stirred up FIBA, with his message, FIBA got all hot and mad

FIBA - it's afire, FIBA says we did it bad

Pat Baumann and Euro suitors, have a very mad affair

When the Boomers tried to protest, they said Aussies now don't you dare

We strong-arm FIBA - with our voting, FIBA when feel dismayed

FIBA - We're your bosses, those Aussies need to be displayed

They own our FIBA - when you diss them, Aussies you can live and learn
