DOWN 0-1 in its best-of-three WNBL semi final against regular season champion Southside, Adelaide is hoping for another huge attendance for Saturday's home Game 2 to help it keep the series alive.
Mercedes drives Flyers to 1-0 lead
MERCEDES Russell tonight loaded the WNBL regular season champion Southside Flyers onto her shoulders and carried them to a 68-65 semi final Game 1 win over Adelaide, scoring 20 points and snaring 19 rebounds.
Seekamp, Hurst still in doubt
CONTRARY to reports suggesting otherwise, Adelaide Lightning captain Nicole Seekamp is under a major cloud ahead of tomorrow night's WNBL Game 1 of the semi final series against regular season champion Southside at Dandenong.
The Week That Was: Feb.9-16
THIS has no doubt been one of the most dramatic weeks in basketball, with the Opals qualifying for Tokyo and Bryce Cotton and Kia Nurse claiming the NBL and WNBL's Most Valuable Player awards respectively.

OLIVIA Epoupa might just prove the least heralded WNBL recruit of the year but the French superstar simply sizzled today as the defending champion Capitals seized a 1-0 semi final series lead over Melbourne in Canberra.
United lands and Kia keeps it at Caps
DO the sums any way you like but with United last night beating the Taipans by 16 and with the depleted Phoenix to come, the NBL Final Four now will be Sydney, Perth, Cairns and Melbourne.
