In: NBL, WNBL, Boomers & Opals — Saturday, 15 Mar, 2025

WHAT a week this has been, fuelling our Brad&Boti podcast with so much ball for Brad Rosen and I to disseminate, starting with Bendigo winning its third WNBL championship, closing with Tyler Harvey's game-winner and with a ton of stuff in-between, including Adam Caporn's Boomers appointment!

In: NBL, NBA — Thursday, 13 Mar, 2025

THIS week on our Time Out-NO FLOP ZONE podcast, 3-time NBL Coach of the Year Joey Wright and I dive deep into the Grand Final Series, analysing Game 1 and Game 2 of Melbourne-Illawarra and previewing what’s to come in Games 3 and 4 ... and 5?

NBL: Harvey winner evens title series

In: NBL — Wednesday, 12 Mar, 2025

ILLAWARRA import Tyler Harvey has hit his share of big shots during his NBL career but none bigger than the triple which tonight tied the Championship Series at 1-1 after his foul on the previous play put Ian Clark at the stripe for three free throws which gave Melbourne the lead with 10.4 seconds remaining.

NBL: Hawks dumbstruck. Try some Moonstruck

In: NBL — Tuesday, 11 Mar, 2025

THERE's a great line by Cher in the movie Moonstruck when she replies to a declaration of love from Nicolas Cage's character by slapping his face twice and yelling at him: "Snap out of it!" Ahead of tomorrow's Grand Final Game 2 of the NBL's best-of-five Championship Series, it's a reaction the Illawarra Hawks could definitely use.

NBL: United serves up a masterclass

In: NBL — Saturday, 8 Mar, 2025

MELBOURNE United tonight "broke serve" in the opening best-of-five Grand Finals of the NBL's Championship Series when Marcus Lee stepped up as the X-factor in a stunning second half revival and 96-88 road win over a startled and bedraggled regular season champion Illawarra.

Brad&Boti: Hawks show the Spirit to soar

In: NBL, WNBL — Friday, 7 Mar, 2025

WHAT a set of sizzling - though extremely different - NBL semi final Game 3s we have just witnessed but Brad&Boti podcast colleague Brad Rosen and I don't even start there, launching instead at Bendigo taking a 1-0 WNBL Grand Final lead over Townsville.

NBL: Trey Hell in III for stunned Phoenix

In: NBL — Thursday, 6 Mar, 2025

AFTER an embarrassing Game 2 in which he described his own performance as "trash," Trey Kell last night led a fierce, focused and unforgiving regular season champion Illawarra into the NBL Championship Series with a go-to-whoa erasure of an unsuspecting South East Melbourne to emphatically clinch their semi final 2-1.

Time Out-NO FLOP ZONE: How good were the NBL semi finals?

In: NBL, NBA — Thursday, 6 Mar, 2025

THIS week on our Time Out-NO FLOP ZONE podcast, Joey Wright and I break down all the biggest topics in basketball, from Chris Goulding’s incredible semi final form to Bryce Cotton’s future in Australia and the possibility of an NBL team hiring its first female head coach.

NBL: United into Final after Epic Semi

In: NBL — Wednesday, 5 Mar, 2025

MELBOURNE United last night qualified for the NBL Championship Series when Ian Clark and Chris Goulding combined to bring down Kristian Doolittle and Bryce Cotton in an epic 113-112 last gasp victory from a match that has to rank as one of the most spectacular in playoff history, though no compensation for a gallant Perth Wildcats.

NBL: Phoenix put the Hurt on Hawks

In: NBL — Monday, 3 Mar, 2025

SOUTH East Melbourne made the adjustments, Matt Hurt remembered he's not just an import but in the NBL All Star Five, Owen Foxwell irritated Tyler Harvey out of the contest and Nathan Sobey did enough right for Phoenix to tie its semi final against Illawarra with a 101-94 reversal.
