SYDNEY Kings teammates, coaching staff, management, ownership and fans last night had every reason to ask 'where the hell has this guy been all season?' as Cam Oliver showed up to play, albeit too late and against an Adelaide 36ers team bound for the next round of NBL playoff action.

THE NBL was swift in its reaction to Sydney Kings guard Jaylen Adams poking at the eyes of Illawarra's Wani Swaka Lo Buluk in a fiery exchange in the Hawks' 95-75 rout before Bryce Cotton's 49-point haul in the Wildcats' 112-104 win over Adelaide confirmed he again would be MVP.

ILLAWARRA clinching the NBL's 2024-25 regular season championship has set up the Hawks of likely Coach of the Year Justin Tatum for their first genuine run at a championship since being swept by arch rival Sydney in 2005's 3-0 best-of-five rout.
