How often will headline writers use "Dante's Peak"?
NO huge surprise today that Dante Exum nominated for the NBA draft on June 26, three-time championship winner Luc Longley quick to support the 18-year-old’s decision.
Chris is a very naughty boy
AMAZING, eh? Yesterday I lambasted the NBL for saying zip about the league’s “Chris Anstey investigations” and today, out of nowhere, we get a missive saying what has occurred in the past eight days.
ROUND ABOUT: NBL15/WNBL16
EXPECT the next Melbourne-Perth NBL game to be full of feeling on Sunday, and not because of Mark Worthington’s huge three to win the clash at The Jungle.
Rankings #16 ... and shooting the breeze
PSST. You didn't hear it here but my (e)mail is there is a far greater chance the SEABL will affiliate with the NBL than hand its reins over to BA.
'Sky' Walker grounded
LUCAS Walker will miss at least the next three Tigers' NBL games with his recurring Achilles tendon issue.
'Hoodoo' teams make life interesting
IT’S an interesting curiosity and too much of a constant to be a coincidence that almost every team has at least one nemesis – the side they don’t like to face – regardless of their respective talent levels.
ROUND ABOUT NBL14/WNBL15
AT 5.30pm in Adelaide, 6pm Eastern, the NBL released a press statement today headlined: Anstey Comments Under Investigation.
Rankings #15 ... and "it's not my call"
LITTLE bit excited at NBL plans to expand to 12 teams in 2015-16 for a proposed 44-game regular season.
ROUND ABOUT: NBL13/WNBL14
IT hasn't happened for a while in the NBL but four of the five road teams prevailed in Round 13 making it pretty unlucky for those putting out the welcome mat.
Rankings #14 ... plus same old, same old
SEVEN games. That is how many matches an NBL player must participate in to be eligible for playoffs if anyone at Sydney is paying attention.
