Brad&Boti: The NBL's two favourite words

IT'S 2-all for the NBL Championship and it all comes down now to a single Game 5 Grand Final between Illawarra and Melbourne in Wollongong on Sunday, as Brad Rosen and I go through it and also so much more on the newsfront in this week's Brad&Boti podcast.

First we start with the big news - that the New Zealand Breakers have been sold, as I told readers here quite some time ago. As I recall, I took considerable heat for it and NewsCorp followed up by asking the previous owner if it was on.

Unsurprisingly he said no. And that was that, revealing just what supposed investigative journalism looks like today.

Next, Illawarra ownership is leading a bid by seven club owners to purchase the NBL from owner Larry Kestelman.

There's pluses and minuses in this conversation too before we turn our attention to the Hawks-United and Game 5.

But before we do, we recall Matthew Dellavedova's amazing performance in Game 3 to steer Melbourne ahead 2-1. With 16 points, 11 assists and zero turnovers, was that his finest NBL game?

How pathetic was Jack White in Game 2? And how well did he 180-degree that with his Game 3 effort?

That said, his free throw yips reappeared in Game 4. Would you go straight at him in Game 5?

Trey Kell III? Time to stand up and show us who you really are. "Bone bruising" kept him out of Game 4 but Illawarra had enough players lift to cover his absence.

Now it is time to suit up and stand up.

How good were the Hawks who did in Game 4, such as Lachie Olbrich, "Davo" Hickey, Mason Peatling etc?

And the defensive strategy of avoiding Chris Goulding on his "kick-out draw-a-foul" threes was exemplary.

Who will hoist the Dr John Raschke Trophy on Sunday afternoon?

We have our theories, and we also toss in a Nagy Nasty and a Rosen Rattler and you can hear it all right now by clicking the LINK. (Or, yes, Apple in Spotify are other good destinations to find us.)
