Brad&Boti: Milton the Monster

MILTON Doyle, already being compared to the NBL’s all-time greatest import Leroy Loggins, took Round 2 by the throat, leading Tasmania into performances which made Brad Rosen and I marvel at this week’s Brad&Boti podcast. Just how good are these Jackies?

To chop down the champs, the Sydney Kings, then back up by beating United in Melbourne – now for the fourth straight time – were performances which had us waxing lyrical about the JackJumpers.

But we didn’t stop there, surveying the immediate future of the long-suffering Adelaide 36ers and their ballsy move to try recruit multi-championship winning wing scorer Dejan Vasiljevic. DJ was a JJ’s nemesis the season before last, leading Sydney to the crown with some huge buckets against Tasmania.

But is he what the Sixers need right now?

Justinian Jessup is injured and Anthony Lamb replaces him as the Breakers head to the US for NBA-NBL preseason matches.

Cairns is on the same journey while the story of the altercation between coach Adam Forde and Brisbane’s Aron Baynes is yet to be fully aired.

Are the Wildcats for real or is it too early to judge, and how badly are injuries again going to scuttle South East Melbourne? It seems to be part of the Phoenix’s DNA, unfortunately.

Brad has an opinion to share about the Kings’ new coach – Brad, with an opinion on the Kings … that’s new – and we even give a quick nod to the WNBL, coming up next month.

There’s time for a Rosen Rattler and even a Nagy Nasty and you can access it all by simply going to Twitter and our @Brad&Boti site or go to Apple podcasts. They like us there too.
