Brad&Boti: WNBL, NBL and Dr Mic stops by

BRAD Rosen and I are back this week with a huge Brad&Boti podcast, featuring not only the latest on the WNBL season's tip-off last week and the NBL's continued delivery of stunning results, but also an in-depth interview with Tasmania JackJumpers forward Anthony Drmic on life in the limelight.

The Good Dr Mic, Drim to his friends, has long been an interview target of ours, having chalked up a quality NBL career at Adelaide, Brisbane, back to Adelaide and now with the Jackies, the club Brad calls "everyone's second favourite team."

Not me. They're my favourite team and picking Drim's brain on how this highly successful yet in-its-infancy franchise thrives is well worth the listen right there.

Following in his brother Frank's footsteps, Anthony attended the Australian Institute of Sport, then continued on to Boise State for a prominent US college career with the Broncos.

Recruited back into the NBL, he played for the 36ers - "I love Adelaide. I have a house there" - before joining the Bullets in Brisbane.

Back to Adelaide and part of that infamous Sixers team which became the first (and still the ONLY) NBL team to beat an NBA side when they upset the Phoenix Suns, he really believed he would be part of a championship run.

Instead now he is having that opportunity at the JackJumpers, giving us an insight into how the club has gone from scratch to a Championship Series in its inaugural season and a Semi Final Series in its second, and now, yet again is one of the pacemakers of Season 2023-24.

Was Chris Anstey his inspiration to choose basketball over tennis and what are his views on coaches Joey Wright and Scott Roth, and teammates or opponents such as Nathan Sobey and Jack McVeigh?

Brad and I talk WNBL and NBL, giving our Favourite Moments of the Round, our Players of the Round, not to mention his Rosen Rattler or my Nagy Nasty.

It's a chock-full show for sure and you can access it by clicking this very link, or by going to Apple Podcasts. Or you can give it all a miss and we still will all live happily ever after.

(But you'll always wonder......)
