Brad&Boti: Who needs guests when we're rolling?

SADLY, as much as fellow Brad&Boti podcaster Brad Rosen and I tried, not a soul wanted to appear on our show this week, such is the fear spreading about our insightful and fearless interview skills. Either that, or we forgot to contact anyone. Never mind, we had plenty to say anyway!

Because wow, what a round of elite basketball the last one was, the WNBL throwing up a huge upset with Adelaide Lightning beating championship favourite Southside Flyers and Bendigo Spirit taking league-leading Melbourne Boomers down to the very wire.

They even had a shot for the win, such was the unrelenting action in that one.

But wait, there's more! The NBL round arguably was the very best one of the season so far with three teams turning around double-digit deficits to secure wonderful victories.

Perth continued its emergence with a home win over Cairns, then a come-from-behind victory in Brisbane over a Bullets team starting to develop a reputation for choking in the end-game.

But that was nothing compared to South East Melbourne's humiliation in Adelaide where the Phoenix had a 34-point opening quarter and led by 18 going into halftime. The 36ers, jeered by some as they left the hardwood, returned full of pluck and plucked the Phoenix who lost their way completely.

Gary Browne threw a punch at Tohi Smith-Milner - and has a case to answer now with the NBL - as the wheels fell off South East amid a relentless Adelaide onslaught.

It was a wonderful Sixers win but only raises further question marks about the Phoenix, who should have beaten a depleted Melbourne a week prior but couldn't pull that one off either.

And is Sydney as hot as fans want to make out? Leading Melbourne by 15 at the half, then 19 in the third quarter, to be beaten by 12 - that's a 31-point turnaround in less than a half - says volumes for United.

But what does it say about the Cringe, er, Kings?

Fantastic individual performances abounded, with Aari MacDonald, Jade Melbourne, Kelsey Griffin, Jordin Canada, Bryce Cotton, Dejan Vasiljevic, Chris Goulding and Luke Travers at the forefront.

We enjoyed them all, as you will hear with Brad's Rosen Rattler and my Nagy Nasty, available right now if you click this link. Or, go to your Apple Podcast app if that better suits you.

You will not be disappointed. (That's not a promise.)
