Basketball On The Internet.

*FLASHBACKS, my irregular "lucky dip" where I just reach into my drawers of old Australian basketball stuff and transcribe or post whatever I find for you.

This week I stumbled upon two of the daily programs from the 1970 Australian States Championship for Senior Men which was one of the first major events staged at the Apollo Stadium in Adelaide.

I am sure I kept the daily program from every night but sadly this time around, I only found the ones from Tuesday, October 6 and Wednesday, October 7. They were just little four-pagers but still convey so much from the event.

This lot includes some of the great names of the game in amongst them too. And if you were wondering, South Australia eventually beat Victoria 77-70 in the Final, my most enduring and vivid memory of that being SA guard Alan Hughes running and leaping into the arms of my brother Geza in celebration as the siren sounded.
