Sitting down with Graham Cornes

SOUTH Australian football icon, original Adelaide Crows coach and multi-media personality Graham Corners has sat me down for a one-on-one radio/podcast interview for his "Conversations with Cornesy" program and it airs tomorrow on FIVEaa, 1395 from 12:30-1:30pm.

We cover a lot of territory inside that hour, from the Nagy family's World War II-driven decision to migrate from Hungary to Australia before anecdotally going over a holy host of other and related topics.

Graham, who I saw play his debut SANFL league-level game for Glenelg at Unley Oval against Jack Oatey's Sturt back in the mid-Sixties - long before he took the mark and kicked the winning goal in the 1973 Grand Final for the Tigers, or played some VFL for North Melbourne, or coached Glenelg to premierships and SA to State-of-Origin wins over the mighty Vics - surely had done his homework.

(Quick segue - as Rachael Sporn has mentioned once or twice, that screamer mark Graham took to earn that fateful shot at goal was over North Adelaide ruckman Gary Sporn, her father.)

Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed myself on the program and hopefully, you might too.

If you cannot tune in tomorrow though, after it airs on radio (or if you aren't blessed to live in Adelaide), you can then find it and listen to it via www.fiveaa.com.au and iTunes.

We talk about the contents of the book, so here's an unrelated reminder that Father's Day is coming up soon! Just sayin'
