The Week That Was: Jan.5-Jan.12

OF course it was another colossal week in the NBL and WNBL as the business end of their seasons draws closer, so don't be perturbed if you missed something.

We had it all here at Basketball On The Internet, so take a look and see if you need to catch up on anything.

And it's on the house!

The NBL and WNBL rounds were fierce and very important and you can find the wraps right here.

Adelaide rocked United's NBL season, Cairns' split has it in third place and Perth shot out the lights in NBL Round 15 so far.

Melbourne has a shot at the summit after beating Lightning while Townsville responded to cutting Abby Bishop by belting Canberra in the start to WNBL Round 13.

The Basketball SA Hall of Fame dinner is coming on February 7 and this is the first of our looks at the inductees, featuring dual-Olympian Les Hody.

We nailed all but one of our NBL & WNBL Tips last round so here's hoping we were on the ball this time around too.

Brad Rosen and I hit the airwaves again with our diverse opinions on all things NBL and WNBL at our weekly podcast.

The NBL & WNBL Rankings for the week featured another couple of fun "Guess the Player" challenges.

Our NBL Player of the Week certainly fit the bill.

The Adelaide 36ers finally saw off another plucky Hawks effort, Todd Blanchfield with 35 points but Anthony Drmic the game-winner as we wrapped the last of the NBL's Rd.14 matches.

Our WNBL Player of the Week was our youngest winner this season and maybe for a number of years.

Our Opals are expected to shine in France.
